If you are an approved recipient of the Education Scholarship Trust Fund program, you will be set up with an account on ClassWallet, an online portal through which to manage your ESTF scholarship and make payments to approved education service providers.
Once the new ESTF bill is signed into law, you may wish to make payments to your private school for tuition using the funds in your ClassWallet account.
Here is what you need to know about that process.
First, make sure your invoice contains all the right features. If it does not, go back to your school and ask them to send you an updated invoice.
Invoices MUST include:
- Student name (siblings must be listed on separate invoices, not one invoice for the family)
- Name of school + school address
- Dates of service – for example, it can’t just say “Tuition.” It needs to say “Tuition – March and April 2025.”
- Date the invoice was issued
- A unique invoice number
Once you make sure your invoice is correct, you can log in to your ClassWallet account at https://app.classwallet.com/login.
Follow the tutorial from ClassWallet here on how to pay a vendor using your ClassWallet funds. Look for the “pay vendor” button on your account’s home page.
IMPORTANT: By law, parents must be the ones accessing their own ClassWallet accounts and submitting their own invoices. Schools are prohibited from logging into ClassWallet accounts and submitting invoices on behalf of the families. The Education Scholarship Trust Fund program is a parent-led program, and parents are in charge of their own scholarship funds and accounts. Invoice uploads suspected to be done by school staff will be flagged by the Department of Education.
